'Come the Night' - Dianne Gall

Acclaimed South Australian artist Dianne Gall’s new solo exhibition of paintings at emerge continues her fascination with exploring a ‘Film Noir’ narrative feel to her new works. As she says ‘there may be something not quite right in the sometimes pristine, marbled walls and floors, behind the closed doors, there is indeed something lurking beneath the veneer of tranquillity. Her exquisitely crafted paintings are a snapshot of being human, a voyeuristic representation of the journey we must take through life.

Dianne Gall was born 1964 in Adelaide, South Australia. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The South Australian School of Art in 1985 and has exhibited extensively throughout Australia since then. She held a highly successful exhibition of her ‘Film Noir’ inspired paintings with Cube Contemporary Art Projects in Adelaide in 2010 and will be also exhibiting in Hamilton, Canada in October 2011.
