Natalie Briney & Paul Deej - ‘ Muses’ One night only public event Sat 21 Sep

MUSES - Presented by local curator Kaye Guthrie-Adonis is a new one night only event opening Saturday 21 September at 6pm▫️A shared love of the female form has brought together beloved Perth illustrator & muralist Paul Deej and Margaret River’s mixed media artist Natalie Briney for a joint exhibition MUSES @stalacontemporary art gallery▫️Funnily enough, as a result of Kaye being asked to identify suitable works for clients, these two artists do share wall space in the home of one of Perth’s favourite sons Daniel Ricciardo▫️Deej has captured the public imagination with his 35m Seinfeld mural in Mount Lawley. His work is bright and colourful and inspired by the popular cultures of movies, television, comics and hip-hop. Paul has painted on walls both in Perth and further afield, so to have him focus on canvas for this exhibition has been no small task▫️Briney’s art is textured, often featuring musical scores as a base layer, before painstakingly applying a technique known as pointillism (similar to Aboriginal dot paintings). Her works frequently feature females and animals together. Her colours are bright and her females are strong yet feminine. This will be Natalie’s largest exhibition to date▫️Kaye is excited to bring Paul and Natalie together for what promises to be a brilliant examination of the female form from two stylistically opposing artists▫️Private viewings Friday Call Kaye 0414 197 059
